Hey all,

First can I say that this looks like a good RP board? I don't have to tell you what a rare find that is, so I'm very pleased just now.

I just wanted to ask if I could apply for Shatterstar, even though he isn't on the current canon list? I've been itching for somewhere to play him. I'd have to do some editing on his backstory, of course, since the Mojoverse and the Movieverse don't exactly mix (or they might, but I think it would leave a nasty flavour!), but I already have a few ideas in that regard.

I hope I posted this in the right place. I considered posting it in another thread dealing with a similar question, but I wasn't sure that would be the best way to procede. But to echo another person from that thread, don't worry - if the answer to my question is no, I'll still be sticking around. I did take a look at the canon list for someone I might like to play (Doug Ramsey and Warren Worthington III jumped out at me), but I had to ask about Shatterstar on the off chance that you guys would say yes.

To answer your question, I'm not completely familiar with Shatterstar, since his run on the comics was right before I started collecting. However as far as I see, he could make a pretty simple transition from Mojoverse Mutate to Movieverse Mutant. I'm not completely sold on adding him to the list, I'd have to think about it. However I would most definitely like to see what you have thought about on the character. I'd like to see where you were thinking his transition would be, and how he'd be incorporated into a movieverse. If I like it, then we can talk about adding him.

The way I see it, you have a pretty good chance at convincing me. So PM me what you had in mind for Shatterstar.

Ohh, not a no! I didn't expect that, to be honest. Hooray!

I'll send you a PM tomorrow, as 4:52 is clearly too early to format my thoughts in a coherent manner. Should I register as Shatterstar, or my name? Or as the human name I'm using for him (Benjamin Russel, one of his aliases from way back when).

And yeah, he is a fairly old/obscure character. In fact, he was created only two years (I think it was) after I was born. But when he intersected with Rictor (another personal fave) I did some research and discovered that he was as awesome as Julio.

So yeah, what I said about coherence? You see the problem!

Apply as Benjamin MIDDLE NAME Russel. In all caps. And send a PM from there. If you decide against Shatterstar, we can change the name later.
