Section 1: Basic Rules

• Member to Member Respect A rule that should generally be common knowledge. Respect your fellow players, respect the administration. Do onto others as you would want done onto you. If an issue arises please remember that we are here to help should you feel an issue cannot be handled without the help of administration. Everyone gets caught somewhere down the line for disrespect. Being unkind to other members, provoking, excessively bugging or bad mouthing other members will have it's consequences.
  
• Member Accounts: All households are allowed multiple accounts. However, you are only allowed to register with 2 accounts first. Once your accounts have posted 15 quality posts each, you are allowed to register another account. However, there is a current account limit to 4 accounts per person. However in special cases, some members will be allowed a fifth account. In order to achieve the fifth account, the member in question must have proven their are able to be active and keep replying with 4 characters before applying for the fifth. In 1972. If they wish to apply for a fifth, they must contact Jessie&James via pm. It should be known that all non-permitted multiple accounts will be disabled and administrative action will take place if these rules are not followed. Members are also, if they manage to keep up with five characters, will be permitted a sixth. However to obtain this, you must follow the above steps.
  
• Member Postings: All users will use the "common courtesy" rules will posting. This means no illegal bumping of topics, posting of spam or pornographic material, or other prohibited content. All posts must be deemed "user-friendly", meaning posts should not be used to send threats, attacks, or put-downs. remember, grammar is your friend! members with multiple accounts must post at least once a week with each account, or the account will be deemed inactive, and possibly deleted.
  
• Member Profiles: All avatars must be 150x225 or smaller, while signatures cannot carry more than 500 characters. Url links are never to link to any prohibited content. Images must be hosted through yourself, hot linking is not permitted.
  
• Applications: If an application is left inactive and half-finished etc for five days, it will be rejected. You are more than welcome to reapply, however. Jessie&James may also take some time to get to your application. Chances are good they will be looked at right away, but if it takes them a day, even if they are both online, do not fret. Chances are they are discussing or simply extremely busy. They have not forgotten you. If they post in your application citing things that need to be fixed, you have one chance to do it. If not, your application will be declined. Jon Voight and Burt Reynolds Furthermore, if you do not post in the canon list and another person comes along wanting to take that character they are more than willing. Then it becomes a race to see who gets the application up or goes to whoever posted in the reservation list. But don't be a douche and post in the reservation list after the other application has gone up.

Section 2: Advertising/Recruitment Rules

• Safe Advertisement Zones: There is one! Use it wisely and follow the guidelines given, if not, your advertisement will be trashed!
  
• PM Advertisement:PM advertising is just plain annoying and rude! Any advertisements via the pm system will result in administrative action. Any pm advertisements should be forwarded directly to an administrator.
  
• Staff Recruitment: Our forum is not here for you to steal our members for your own purposes! Any recruiting through pms should be forwarded to an admin. These things can happen outside of the forum only! Not all members want to be bothered in this fashion.

Section 3: Mature Content

• Graphic writing/erotica
• Use of drugs
• Excessive profanity
• Stupidity

The above listed are topics that happen to be not nice for younger people, so if your thread's got it, make sure the first post, or topic description carries a warning!

Section 4: Administrative Action

• Our punishments differ in a variety of reasons. This is unimportant so why bother wanting to know only if you want to get in trouble and find out the hard way?
• But just in case, you will get you your ass warned for any trouble, and in extreme cases, banned!
• Jessie&james reserve the right to delete anyone without warning for whatever reasons they see fit.
• Do not try to get the last word. It will not happen. We have had problems with this in the past, and things do not end pretty. The Admins words are final. That being said we love you all.

Section 5: Role Playing Rules

• User names: All user names must contain the first, middle, and last name of your character in capital letters. I.E. John Joe Smith is acceptable. Signing up as i_love_xmen1736482 and mister x are not acceptable.
  
• Linear posting: All members are to adhere to the linear posting rule. This means that since this rpg takes place a year or so after x-men: the last stand, scott summers, jean grey, professor x, are dead. Those mutants affected by the cure, are still cured (unless the plots tell you otherwise!) as well, this is an rpg playing heavily upon the student squadrons, so get ready for some teen angst! As well, canons only! Come on, seriously people, there's about 100 open characters or so, how different from any of these could your original character be?
  
• God-Modding: This is entirely stupid to god-mode the entire actions of any other player in your posting. Power play, when given consent by the character's write, is okay to do, only because minor things are power played.
  
• Mary Sue: Not everyone on the site needs to be perfect in every way--in fact, nobody is at all. We have the right to deny your mutant application if we deem it necessary to avoid any mary sues at all costs. Make your characters original and unique people!
  
• Posting: Please post as if you have an iq above 5. No chat-speak, no outrageous color fonts or sizes(this is mainly to ensure that all people are able to see your entire post, without having to change their computer settings), and no full ooc(out of character) posts in the ic role play threads. I.E.

  Just as well, try to keep the posts somewhat clean. If the thread happens to deal with some risque topics, please be sure to put up ratings in the thread subtitle! This is primarily due to the tendency of younger children to role play on sites, and there are some things we shouldn't exactly be showing to the entire world via text.
  
• Post length: 400 words is the minimum. It's not that bad, like 2, 3 paragraphs. Please feel free to type more than that, and the occasional post under that is okay, too, but if we catch you multiple times, there will be a problem. What it comes down to is quality not quantity.

Section 6: Canon Characters & Applications

• Canon Characters: Here's the deal kiddies, you don't get to make up your own, or change their information! The staff's word is the law! All play-by's, ages, affiliations, and codenames from the beginning of the role play is the same as listed on the canon list. If your character begins to change over time and switches alliances, etc, this is fine by us.
• AU-Movieverse: This site was created in order to stem after the Third Installment of the X-men MOVIES. Applications must cite a few events that took place in the movies, one that would have affected every mutant on the planet would be Xavier's mental attack via Cerebro. While we are taking characters from 616 Canon, we are modifying them to fit the movieverse. In the movieverse, many of the mutants were dumbed down in power or changed to fit a more realistic approach on life. The ADMINS have the final say on how strong your characters can be according to the movies, and how they should be modified to fit the movieverse. We are willing to compromise, but please realize we are running a site free of God Modders and Mary-Sues.
• Original Characters: There are none. Don't make an application for one, it will be trashed. Then i will laugh....
• Application Code: Sorry this is not where the application code is. it's hidden in the rules somewhere, and you won't be able to find it using the Ctrl+F option for 'code' or 'secret' either. So read the rules thoroughly.

• As well as all the above information, it would be good for you to read all of the site information to familiarize yourself with the exact doings of the site and the plot. This way, you can have some idea as to what you're doing around here!

UPDATE: 7/26/09

SAMPLE POSTS: Effective immediately, anyone looking to be accepted (as a new player, or have a new character excepted) must write a sample post in character of the one they are applying for. No exceptions. This sample post must be at the very least 400 words in length, and must have substance. By this we mean the sample post must show what your character is about, how he/she reacts in a certain situation. We don't want to read how your character is bored in his or her room reading a book, we want something to be happening, and your character react as they should according to your personality section.

PLOTTING: In the case of plotting, Administration is in charge of Site-Wide Plotting. We are more than willing to take ideas, after all everyone is equally creative, and brainstorming is a brilliant way to come up with wonderful ideas. Please present them in the form of Personal Messages toward the James account. Site-Wide Plots are plots that effect many characters, usually involving more than one 'team' (i.e. Acolytes causing War Heads to fire at the U.S. Embassy and the X-men have to stop it.). Anything major has to run through Administration and get approval (we are pretty easy going). Anything relating to High School Drama and plottage is fair game. If it can happen in a High School, then plot your hearts out (i.e. romances, love triangles, pranks)
